There is no escaping the fact that the exhibition of paintings and drawings by Shaji Appukuttan, which are rich with striking strokes, will leave an indelible mark in the minds of art enthusiasts. 

The show, ‘Spiritual Earth’, has been opened on September 26, 2015 at Durbar Hall Art Gallery ‘B’ and will end on October 2, 2015. 

As the name of the exhibition suggests, the themes of Mr Appukuttan’s art creations are closely connected with mother nature. 

Most of his works are in the search of the psyche of the soil. 

Mr Appukuttan, who has worked with film director Ismail Merchant in the critically acclaimed film ‘Cotton Mary’, has revealed the close connect between man and mother nature through his paintings and drawings. 

The paintings are a search to know more about man and the soul hidden deep inside.  

The gallery timings are from 11 am to 7 pm.
